Cougars Win

Peter's Mite Football Team, the Carrboro Cougars, won their first game of the season today, 26-0. They played the East Chatham Chargers, a powerhouse from Chatham County (just south of Chapel Hill).

Peter got into the game several times, and got in on a few tackles. He plays cornerback. Apparently the cornerbacks job is to make sure the ball carrier can't get to the outside on running plays, or to force them back into the middle. They're also supposed to cover short passes. Or so he says. Football is not my strong point, so he could about tell me anything and I'd smile and nod. I just know to cheer when they make touchdowns.
