Spring is Here!

Grace's team had her first baseball game tonight!

They came out to a quick 4-0 lead, then the other team gradually came back, till finally it was tied 5-5. In the 5th inning, the other team scored 3 HUGE runs (they had some great hitters) and Grace's team got three quick outs, so G's team was down by three going into the final (6th) inning.

They held the other scoreless in the 6th, then had their final time at bat. The first two batters got quick outs, and it seemed like all hope was lost. Then they got on a hot hitting streak, scored three quick runs to tie it, then then next batter got a nice base hit to drive in the winning run.

To make it a nearly perfect evening (can't be totally perfect; it was still really cold and wet) I went home and had my first wheat beer of the season! I love wheat beer, but it's NOT a winter beer.

Ahhhh, springtime!
