So, I suppose Peter is now officially a tween, and yes, he's beginning to act like it. There are days where he LOVES me, and wants to snuggle and cuddle, and then there are days where he barely acknowledges my existence. And, then, there are the in between days (oh, wait, that's a Cure song....), where he barely acknowledges my existence, but grins the entire time because he KNOWS exactly what he's doing.
I try not to let the kids get out of the house in the morning without hugs and kisses and "have-a-good-day"s. It's still easy with G; she'll track me down for a kiss. With Peter, though, I have to station myself at the front door to grab him on the way out.
This was our exchange this morning as he was reaching for the door knob:
Me: "Kiss!"
P: squirm, squirm, "OK" as I get him on the top of the head
Me: "Love you"
P: "Whatever"
And then a big grin as he went out to the bus stop!
Tweens!
