Happy (Late) Father's Day

Here's a picture of my Dad and my Uncle Bob with their assorted kids, from spring of 1967. Dad is on the steps with Kathy and Dick next to him; my Uncle Bob is on the stoop. My cousin Avery and I are the Babes in arms (or carrying case, in my case!)




It never ceases to amaze me how YOUNG my Dad looks in old pictures! He still looks really good, but he looks about 12 in this picture, not old enough to have three kids! And, yes, for the record, he was probably about 6 months shy of his 34th birthday in this picture.

He's also got the same look that he frequently has in pictures when he's with his (infant children): a look of mingled pride and amazement, as if to say, "this is really cool, but how the heck did it happen!?!" Silly Daddy!

Of course, as we aged he frequently had the "Oh, Lord" look....

Anyway, Happy Late Father's day, to my Dad and all the other fathers out there!
